Description:   The development of a global perspective concerning major cultural and geographic characteristics in the modern world is studied. Various regions and sub-regions of the world are examined in order to identify regional differences and similarities among people and the environment. Both geographic skills and critical thinking skills are emphasized in a study of the challenges and issues confronting the world today.
